It started with a handful of men and a simple idea: what if faith wasn’t something you faced alone?
Since those early gatherings in a living room back in 2008, Ironmen of God has grown into a powerful brotherhood—one that stretches far beyond Friday morning coffee. Today, it’s a movement built on teambuilding, guest speakers, service, and spiritual growth.
Its core purpose, however, remains rooted in its namesake Bible verse from Proverbs that encourages men to sharpen each other like iron. “We’re seeking men who are better than us so we can learn from them and grow as leaders, husbands, and fathers,” explains Ironmen President Dave Ogden.
That mission manifests as hour-long weekly meetings on Friday mornings called Ironmen Connect, with a short lesson and table discussion around that month’s Bible lesson. The last Friday of the month sets the theme for the month ahead with a longer lesson from a guest speaker at Ironmen Coffee.
Over the years, Ironmen of God has broadened its reach beyond weekly meetings, creating opportunities for members to engage with the wider community. From local service projects to mission trips and social initiatives, the group channels its faith into action, fostering connection and purpose. These experiences help form a supportive network of men who rely on one another, grow together, and put their values into practice.“We want to create a community for men they can rely on,” Dave says.
