Heart Strings

From honky-tonks in Apopka to festivals in Clermont,
Patrick Gibson turns every chord into connection.

For Patrick Gibson, music isn’t a career move or a hobby—it’s the chord that has always resonated through his life. Growing up in Apopka and West Orange County, songs were everywhere. His dad played the local honky-tonk circuit, his grandmother tickled the piano keys, and by middle school, Patrick was performing in choirs and learning guitar. “Music has always been in my blood,” he says. “It wasn’t something I chose; it’s who I am.”

That passion eventually led him to Nashville. A producer invited him to record there, but instead of making the leap, Patrick took the road less traveled. “He told me, ‘Come up here, cut your record, then go home and build your fan base where it’s real.’” Two whirlwind weeks later, he returned to Central Florida, letting his music and his community grow side by side.

When Patrick talks about music, joy is never far from the conversation. “Joy is knowing I’ve got one more day. One more chance to be with my family, one more opportunity to make something right,” he explains. That philosophy shapes his shows, his songwriting, and the projects he takes on. Over the years, he’s organized concerts and charity events for families in crisis and children’s cancer research. “Music lets me connect with people in a real way,” he says. “It’s about building relationships and sharing hope.”

Faith threads through his music, but it’s the human connection, the shared emotion, and the life-affirming power of a song that take center stage. Patrick gave his life to Christ when his first son was born—a moment he calls a turning point. “The journey I started with music has changed,” he says. “Today it’s about lifting people up, giving them something to hold onto through the ups and downs.”

Now living in Clermont with his wife and three children, Patrick continues to travel, perform, and share his message. “I never want it to point to me,” he says. “I want it to point to the story behind the song; I always want it to point to the Man.”

Whether he’s on stage, at a local festival, or strumming on Plant Street during Music Fest, Patrick’s music carries the same refrain: joy, connection, and the undeniable power of a song to bring people together

RAVE: Haurike Peruvian Cuisine

Found my new favorite restaurant in town 10/10! Just tried out Haurike Peruvian Cuisine and I’m seriously impressed! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and the staff was super friendly. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and every single dish we ordered was spot on… Overall, it’s one of those places you immediately add to your “go-to” list. Can’t wait to go back!

RAVE: The View Clermont

Huge Rave for The View Clermont for having a fun Oktoberfest over the weekend. It was unfortunate with the downpour weather, but we really enjoyed the festivities. They had the whole staff dressed up and were serving German type food. They also had a band playing. Great effort on the staff and I hope they have this again next year. I really enjoyed their beer selections and the brats and pretzels were on point. It’s so nice to see these fun events in our community for the whole family.
