OCOM Is Helping Shape

As Horizon West continues to grow, so does its reputation as a destination for education, innovation, and healthcare excellence. One of the biggest examples is Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine, Central Florida’s newest medical school located right here in the community.

Through partnerships like the Wednesday Run Club with Clean Eatz in Winter Garden, happening every Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, OCOM is helping create a culture centered around wellness, movement, and connection.

A Hub for Medical Excellence
Whole-body wellness options across Horizon West continue to expand rapidly, rivaling some of the nation’s leading community healthcare hubs. Residents can now find everything from concierge primary care and women’s health services to non-invasive wellness treatments and nationally recognized hospital systems close to home.
Providers like Women’s Care, Mamba Physician Care, Apex Health, and ReliefNow: Disc, Joint & Nerve continue expanding healthcare access locally. AdventHealth also continues growing emergency care, urgent care, and primary care services, giving Horizon West residents even more healthcare options close to home.
Separately, Vold Vision’s planned eye surgery center in Hamlin will bring advanced medical services to Horizon West residents.

Orlando Health Helps Power Community Connection
Orlando Health shows up for the residents of Horizon West in big ways. Through partnerships, wellness initiatives, and local events, they embody their mission: “To improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities we serve.” From Horizon West Fest, Flavor Fest Horizon West and Live Well, to programs at Horizon High School and free classes at the Center for Health Improvement, Orlando Health is more than a hospital. It’s a place where education, initiatives, and experiences come together to build a healthier Horizon West!
