Behind the hotel lies a Sculpture Garden, a testament to its Michelin distinction. This is where most wedding ceremonies take place. Surrounded by a lush, tropical landscape featuring over 300 varieties of palms, the garden is home to hundreds of sculptures—some towering 15 to 20 feet high—creating a breathtaking oasis that feels like a tropical escape, right in Central Florida.

“Orlando has a comparatively small wedding industry,” says Event Team Leader Angela Palacio. “We’ve built close relationships with the top vendors and work hand-in-hand with wedding planners to create unique weddings of all sizes. We’ve hosted everything from intimate gatherings of close friends and family to grand celebrations of up to 170 guests.”
“Our goal is to create a special experience for every guest,” Shannon adds. “We want people leaving saying, ‘Wow, I couldn’t have experienced this anywhere else!’”
Wave Hotel’s attention to detail has led to some truly memorable events. One wedding, for example, was a tribute to Comic-Con, with the bride and groom dressed as their favorite characters and a color palette of royal blue, neon yellow, and bright red. Videos of their favorite comics played throughout the event, making for a truly unique celebration.
Wedding cakes are more than just a sweet treat—they’re often a centerpiece of the day’s celebration, and at Lake Nona Wave Hotel, they take on a whole new level of artistry. The Comic-Con couple had their cake intricately designed to reflect their favorite comics. Another bride, known for her love of fashion, opted for a towering confection inspired by her elegantly ribboned shoes.
The creative genius behind these unforgettable cakes is master cake designer Lizandra Reilova, owner of Blush Sucré. Known for her ability to craft both visually stunning and delectably flavorful cakes, Lizandra’s creations are truly bespoke. Her signature flavors—like Bananas Foster, Peach Bellini, and Pistachio Raspberry—are as unforgettable as her custom designs.
