Purpose

From block parties to grand openings, Horizon West Happenings is building more than a community—they’re building a movement.

Since 2018, our team of passionate residents has been advocating for Horizon West,  creating an identity that makes our community a place everyone can be proud of. We live here, work here, and have a ton of fun fostering a culture from the vision that was gifted to us by the generations who came before us and saw what this area could become.

We throw the events and establish annual traditions. We welcome newcomers with all the information they need to feel at home. We create a space for conversations online that everyone can be a part of. And we understand that supporting local is the single most important thing we can do to nurture a strong sense of community.

We’re here to help you feel connected, inspired, and in the know— From local events and new openings to cool offers and community projects, we’ve got the latest updates to keep you in the loop.

The Master Plan

Horizon West is a master-planned community in West Orange County built on New Suburbanism principles that focus on walkability, access to nature, and convenient mixed-use spaces. Made up of five unique villages and a growing town center, HW is currently home to 70,000 residents, with a projected population of 100,000 at full build-out. The community includes Horizon West Regional Park, a new Orange County Library branch opening this year, and new businesses opening every day. With thoughtfully designed neighborhoods, easy access to amenities, and proximity to world-famous theme parks, this thriving pocket of Central Florida offers a lifestyle that’s as connected as it is convenient.

Who’s Magoo’s

Family-grown and family-owned, Huey Magoo’s is serving up good food and great vibes right in the heart of the community.

Known for their mouth-watering chicken tenders, Huey Magoo’s offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Whether you’re craving a classic order of tenders or looking to try their signature sauces, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Chris and McKenzie Cohen, HW residents themselves, have created more than just a restaurant; it’s a gathering place that fosters a sense of togetherness and support.

As passionate members of the community, the Cohens are dedicated to giving back, often collaborating with local schools and organizations, such as the Winter Garden Squeeze, to support various initiatives. They are a shining example of why we support local.
