Local schools, service clubs, and businesses turn generosity into tradition through toy drives, family sponsorships, and acts of service that spread warmth throughout the community. 5ks and Fun Runs give folks a chance to get active (and sometimes silly!) while building traditions like The Great Turkey Trot. Holiday markets fill the streets with local makers, and Christmas at Hamlin invites families to gather, stroll, and celebrate the season.

The newest reason to smile in Horizon West? Fridays at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center! Once a month, Sugar Belle Drive magically transforms into a Main Street block party!
From live music and lawn games to face painting and giveaways, this event celebrates the joy of community, the kind that brings everyone together just to unwind, laugh, and dance. It’s the perfect night out for families and friends alike.
We invite you to bring your chairs, grab a bite, and stay awhile, because the best kind of Friday nights are the ones spent together.

The newest play area for little ones has arrived in Horizon West.
Abracadabra Play Café, a Brazilian-owned, family-run space, offers parents coffee, classic American bites, and authentic Brazilian treats while kids explore creative play zones in a safe, welcoming environment. It’s more than a café, it’s a community hub for families to connect and play.
