Your Local Clean Team
Horizon West pride meets top-to-bottom clean at Nichole’s Cleaning Service, where neighbors care for neighbors — and it shows.
Nichole Devescovi has been in a 10-year love affair with Horizon West — and if you talk to her for five minutes, you’ll understand why.
“We’ve lived in several places, from Ocala to Oklahoma, before here,” she says. “But nowhere has what this place does. Horizon West is built for families. People ride bikes, walk their dogs. It’s so walkable, with a real small-town feel. My daughter started at Windermere High when it first opened. I love raising my kids here.”
That deep-rooted love for her community is the same heart behind Nichole’s Cleaning Service. What started as a family-run business with her sister and mom has grown into a trusted local company serving Horizon West, Winter Garden, Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Oakland, and Clermont. Today, her team includes about sixteen employees and cares for roughly 350 homes — many belonging to the very friends and neighbors she bumps into at school events, youth sports, and local shops. For Nichole, these aren’t just clients — they’re familiar faces she truly feels invested in helping.
“We’ve had great success, and my team is the reason why,” Nichole says. “I still treat them like family.”
In an industry known for sky-high turnover, Nichole’s team sticks around. She offers strong pay, solid benefits, and something even more meaningful: genuine care. “Service is my love language,” she says with a laugh. “We cook for our Cleaning Service family once a quarter — we call it Feed Your Family Friday. We host special events, we feed them at meetings. We take care of our people.”
That care shows up in the work. Every technician completes at least a week of hands-on training, background checks are handled by a local professional investigator, and team members grow through a clear path from trainee to trainer. They follow the classic Speed Cleaning method — left to right, top to bottom, back to front. “We touch everything,” Nichole says. “Even if it looks clean, we clean it.” The result is a home that doesn’t just look tidy at a glance, but feels truly refreshed from corner to corner.
New hires are mentored closely, with daily evaluations and a 30-day check-in with Nichole herself. “I look for people with integrity — people who truly enjoy serving others,” she explains. “If a client asks for something extra, are they happy to help? If no one’s watching, will they still do the right thing?”
Clients notice. Some have stayed with Nichole’s for a full decade — no contracts required. “No, we don’t do contracts, we don’t lock people in. I like to think they stay with us because we’re the best! Plus, we are always open to special requests, but we stay in our lane. We try not to just say no. We don’t clean upholstery, for example, or anything above two steps, for insurance reasons.”
The company offers weekly, biweekly, or monthly service and is known for remembering not just client preferences, but their pets’ names, too — because in a place like Horizon West, details matter and relationships come first.
At the end of the day, Nichole sees her work as more than cleaning houses in the community she loves. “It’s not just about a clean home,” she says. “It’s about giving people their time back.”
And when the person caring for your home is also someone who cares deeply about your neighborhood, your family, and your peace of mind, that’s an easy yes.
“It’s not just about a clean home, it’s about giving people their time back.”
