View, Renewed

After 27 years in the building materials industry—working with everything from cabinets and countertops to floors and backsplashes—John Ried knew there had to be a better way. A smarter, more seamless approach to design and installation. So, he set out to create it.

The result? Viewpoint Design and Installation, a company redefining the home renovation experience.

“Most of our breakthroughs focused on the customer experience,” John explains. “There wasn’t enough transparency in the process. Whether it was a simple countertop upgrade or a full kitchen remodel, clients were left wondering, ‘Now what?’ We changed that by implementing a robust project tracking system, giving clients 24/7 access to scheduling, job logs, photos, and messaging.”

That system is part of Concierge Complete, Viewpoint’s signature service that ensures white-glove treatment from initial consultation to final cleanup. The process starts at the Viewpoint Design Studio, where clients work with expert designers to navigate space constraints, market trends, and the overwhelming number of choices—tile, cabinets, hardware, countertops. Being able to see, touch, and experiment with materials makes decision-making easier.

“I think of it like the book What to Expect When You’re Expecting—but for home renovations,” John says. “Whether it’s a new kitchen, bathroom, or floors, we do everything we can to prepare clients for what’s coming.”

At Viewpoint, home isn’t just about renovations—it’s about honoring the space where life happens and memories are made. Every project, from a small upgrade to a major remodel, impacts routines, memories, and emotions. “It’s an honor to be invited into someone’s home to make it better, and we don’t take that lightly,” John adds. “It’s not just a financial investment, but an emotional one as well.”

That deep commitment extends beyond clients’ homes to the Winter Garden community. “We are proud to live, work, and give back here—supporting local schools, participating in Maxey Elementary’s annual Teach-In, sponsoring West Orange High and SunRidge Middle School programs, and helping build homes with Habitat for Humanity,” John says.

Home takes on all kinds of dimensions, from the very personal to the city-wide communal. They are all important to us, and we’re committed to making them all the very best they can be, as residents and business owners alike.”
