House Call Heroes
Graceful Paws Pet Clinic only started mobile visits in September, and they’ve already become a favorite for clients—pets and pet owners alike. And for good reason. House calls offer some important advantages. Pets are more comfortable in their own home, surrounded by familiar faces and spaces. It’s healthier for them and causes less anxiety. Pet parents enjoy the convenience and the time Graceful Paws veterinarians can devote to their fur babies. Where office visits usually clock in at half an hour, house calls may last twice that. They’re also one-on-one with the doctor without distractions.
Dr. Lynette Reyes, owner of Graceful Paws, saw the need for more access to quality veterinary care in her community and decided to do something about it. “For people with multiple pets, for some of our elder clients, for people who find simple transportation a challenge, our mobile service is the perfect answer,” she says. “I’ve had more than one client call to postpone an appointment because they couldn’t catch their cat. House calls solve that problem. In fact, we can do almost everything from our van except surgery and X-rays.” In-home services available are wellness exams and vaccinations, sick visits, quality-of-life consultations, and euthanasia, should that be needed.
Graceful Paws offers services at their clinic with Dr. Reyes, Dr. Vega, or Dr. Pintado as well, but the new mobile service provides a great option for those who need or prefer it. A small travel fee is added to whatever a normal office visit might cost. For many, the benefits far outweigh the cost. Plus, if more extensive services are needed, the mobile service is backed by the resources of the entire Graceful Paws full-service veterinary clinic.
